The Primary Wing at GD Goenka Signature School is designed to build strong academic foundations while equipping learners with the skills they need for the future. An inquiry-driven approach brings subjects such as English, Hindi, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies to life through projects, storytelling, games, exploration, and collaborative learning experiences.
A structured Reading Programme helps children strengthen fluency, comprehension, and a love for reading through phonics, guided reading sessions, and exposure to a wide range of texts. Creative and physical pursuits, including Art, Theatre, and Sports, form an integral part of the learning experience, giving students opportunities to discover their interests, express themselves, and develop confidence. Grade III
At GD Goenka Signature School, learning is designed to strengthen core skills in English, Hindi, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies through active exploration and inquiry. Students are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, make connections, and gradually take greater ownership of their learning.
English and Hindi lessons develop language proficiency through stories, poetry, grammar, reading, and opportunities for creative expression. Mathematics builds numerical confidence and problem-solving abilities through practical and engaging learning experiences, while Environmental Studies helps children relate classroom concepts to their surroundings through observation and hands-on exploration.
By making lessons purposeful, relevant, and engaging, the programme supports children in becoming curious, capable, and increasingly independent learners.
Grade IV
In Grade IV, learners move beyond foundational concepts and begin engaging with more structured and intellectually stimulating content. Reading develops through closer interpretation and understanding of texts, while writing extends across both creative and factual formats with greater attention to clarity, organisation, and language use. Vocabulary is strengthened through regular reading, discussion, and application across subjects.
Mathematics introduces more advanced work with operations, fractions, decimals, geometry, and measurement, helping students build accuracy and confidence. In Science, learners explore topics such as ecosystems, forces, and features of the Earth through observation, investigation, and inquiry. Social Studies broadens understanding of History, Geography, and civic life, encouraging students to develop informed perspectives about the world around them.
Group projects, research-based tasks, and opportunities for independent learning further strengthen critical thinking, communication, and self-management. The programme allows students to take on greater academic responsibility while progressing with confidence and growing independence.
Grade V
In Grade V, students are encouraged to become more thoughtful, articulate, and independent in the way they approach learning. The programme combines academic depth with creativity and personal development, helping learners strengthen their understanding across Language and Literacy, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and ABL French. Guided use of technology also supports the development of digital awareness and responsible learning habits.
The school experience extends beyond academics through regular library sessions, physical education, circle time, and creative opportunities in dance, music, and drama. An inclusive, activity-based approach encourages students to participate actively, work collaboratively, and explore ideas with confidence.
