The Junior Block at GD Goenka Signature provides a secure, nurturing environment designed for early learners. Bright, tech-enabled classrooms, age-appropriate spaces and a low mentor–student ratio support personalised attention and confident exploration. Learning focuses on strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, physical development and social skills through experiential, inquiry-led approaches — with storytelling, performances and collaborative activities. At its heart, the Junior Block believes early education should be joyful, enriching and thoughtfully structured, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Academics

Foundational I
Foundational literacy begins with sound recognition, shared reading and expressive storytelling, helping children develop strong listening and language skills. Early numeracy concepts are explored through hands-on activities that encourage pattern recognition, counting and logical thinking.
Foundational II
Learning is child-centred, play-based and inquiry-driven. Environmental Studies is theme-based, letting children observe, question and connect with their surroundings, while Hindi begins through simple rhymes and stories that build familiarity and confidence with the language.
Foundational III
The programme builds early academic skills through immersive learning and the meaningful use of classroom technology — phonetic awareness, vocabulary, sentence construction and early writing in English, and counting, comparison and simple mathematical concepts for logical reasoning and problem-solving.
Grade I
In Grade I, learners begin to think independently and approach problem-solving with growing confidence. Addition, subtraction and measurement are strengthened through interactive, practical activities; English builds fluency and grammar through storytelling, role-play and structured speaking; Hindi grows vocabulary, sentence structure and confident communication.
Grade II
In Grade II, imagination and originality grow through structured storytelling and guided writing. English builds understanding of fiction and non-fiction while reinforcing grammar; numeracy focuses on problem-solving and interpreting information with regular mental-maths practice; Hindi advances comprehension, sequencing and short composition; Environmental Studies encourages awareness of sustainability through age-appropriate projects.
